Dziebel German Valentinovich

Biography, education, career:
On 13 May 1997 German Dziebel defended his Candidate’s Dissertation at Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography, titled Generation, Age and Gender in Kinship Terminological Systems: A Study in History and Typology. In 1993-1997 he worked as a junior researcher at the Russian Museum of Ethnography. From 2007 he is a Resource and Scientific Consultant at the Great Russian Encyclopedia. German Dziebel also holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Stanford University, Department of Cultural and Social Anthropology, with his PhD Dissertation Playing and Nothing: European Appropriations of Native American Cultures in the late 20th Century.
