Biography, education, career:
On 9 February 1971, at the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Marina Velikanova defended her Candidate Dissertation, titled Paleoanthropology of Dniester-Prutsk River Basin. In 1955-1994 she successively occupied the positions of junior researcher, researcher, and senior researcher at the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
