Biography, education, career:
In 1993, at Moscow State University, Sergey Vasiliev defended his Candidate Dissertation, titled Communication of Primates and the Problem of Speech Origin. In 1999, at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, he defended his Doctoral Dissertation, titled Differentiation of the Pleistocene Hominids. Presently, he is Head of the Department of Physical Anthropology at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, RAS.
