Biography, education, career:

In 1949, in Moscow State University she defended her Candidate’s Dissertation titled The Remnants of the family organization of Mari in the 19th century, in 1969 – her doctoral thesis titled Essays on the historical Ethnography of the Mari people. In 1949–1958 – senior lecturer, in 1958–1973 Associate Professor, since 1973 – Professor of the Department of Ethnography of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University.
