Biography, education, career:

In 2011 Aleksey Kazarnitsky defended his Candidate’s Dissertation, titled Bronze Age Paleoanthropology of the Steppe Zone of the South of Eastern Europe. Since 2009 he has successively occupied the positions of Lecturer and Associate Professor (since 2015) at the Department of Ethnography and Anthropology of the Institute of History, Saint-Petersburg State Univercity. Since 2011 he is a junior researcher at the Department of Anthropology, MAE RAS.

Areas of expertise: Physical anthropology; craniology; cranioscopy; craniological variability of the population of Eastern Europe and Eurasian steppe zone in the 6th Mil. BC – 1st Mil. AD.
