Guzenkova Tamara Semyonovna

Biography, education, career:

In 1984 Tamara Guzenkova defended her Candidate’s Dissertation, titled Interethnic Relations in Small Groups and Their Role in Ethnic Processes (On the Material of the Statistical and Ethnographic Survey of Chuvash ASSR). In 2003 she defended her Doctoral Dissertation, titled Verkhovna Rada in 1991-2001 (Historical Development of the Modern Parliamentarism in Ukraine). In 1983‑1998 she was junior researcher / researcher at the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences / Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of RAS. From 1998 she is senior / leading researcher at the Russian Institute for Strategic Research.

Areas of expertise: History and ethnography of the peoples of the Urals-Volga region; Modern ethno-political and ethno-religious processes; ethnology of the humanities groups of the national intelligentsia; ethnology of Finno-Ugric and Turkic peoples of the Volga-Ural region; methods of research of the CIA; political processes in the European countries of the CIA
