Glovatsky Georgy Adamovich

Biography, education, career:
In 1934 Georgy Glovatsky was employed as a tour guide at the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1940 he was transferred to the Department of the Far East as a senior research engineer. In 1941‑1945 Glovatsky participated in the Great Patriotic War. In 1945‑1966 he worked as a junior researcher at the Department of East and South Asia; in 1966‑1977 he was Head of the Department for Register and Storage of Museum Funds (later he was Head of a group at the museum department).
