Biography, education, career:
In 1985 Tatyana Dmitrieva defended her Candidate’s Dissertation, titled Devising a Historical Approach to the Study of Totemism Based on Archaeological Sources of the Upper Paleolithic Period. Since 2007 she is Head of the Department of Information Coordination and Systematization, and since 1983 – Head of Archaic and Primitive Beliefs Department of the State Museum of the History of Religion.
Areas of expertise: History and ethnography of primitive peoples; theoretical questions of the study of archaic perception of the world; problems of reconstruction of the worldview of hunters and gatherers of the Stone Age; study of the history of the Archaic and Primitive Beliefs collection of the State Museum of the History of Religion
