Biography, education, career:
On 23 March 1984, at the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Linguistics, Aleksey Burykin defended his Candidate Dissertation, titled The Category of Transitivity and Intransitivity of the Verb in the Even Language. On 28 June 2001, at Saint-Petersburg State University, he defended his Doctoral Dissertation, titled Written Language of a Minority Group (on the Material of the Even Language). Since 2002 he is a leading researcher at the Institute for Linguistic Studies, RAS, in Saint-Petersburg.
