Biography, education, career:

In 2008 Nikolay Berezikov graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of Novosibirsk State University. In 2011 he completed a postgraduate course with the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of RAS. Presently he is a research fellow at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of RAS.

Areas of expertise: History and ethnography of the peoples of Siberia, the Extreme North, and the Far East; History and ethnography of Slavic peoples; History and ethnography of the Russians; Political anthropology and history; cultural anthropology; military anthropology; historic ethnology; martial culture; intercultural communication; ethnic ethics and war; Russian military ethics; Siberian Frontier; Cossack explorers; Russian Cossacks in Siberia in 16th–18th centuries
