Biography, education, career:
On 8 December 1972, at Moscow State University, Yulia Benevolenskaya defended her Candidate Dissertation, titled The Morphology of the Occipital Region of the Skull. In 1983–2006 she was a Senior Fellow at the Department of Anthropology, Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Ethnography, the Academy of Science of the USSR – MAE RAS.
