Biography, education, career:
She was graduated with honors from the Faculty of Asian and African Studies of St. Petersburg State University with Bachelor Degree (Iranian philology) in 2008 and with Master Degree (Asian and African Cultures) in 2010. In 2007 she attended courses for the improvement of qualifications on the Persian language and literature in Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran, Iran. From 2010 to 2013 she was a postgraduate student at the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Kunstkamera). In December 2018 she defended her PhD thesis “The Qur’an as a Source on Material Culture of Arabia at the Turn of VI—VII centuries” (supervisor – E. Rezvan). Since 2010 she works as an Editor (Web projects) at “Manuscripta Orientalia. International Journal for Oriental Manuscript Research”, since 2017 – as an Academic Secretary at the International Center for Islamic Studies (MAE RAS) and since 2018 – as a Junior Researcher at the Department of Central Asia (MAE RAS). Since 2012 she became a research fellow at the International Research Project “Corpus Coranicum Petropolitana”. In the framework of the research project “The Material World of the Qur’an (daily life in Arabia at the time of the Prophet)” she took part in international ethnographic expeditions to Oman, Jordan (2017) and Qatar (2018).
