Kupina Yulia Arkadevna

Biography, education, career:
In 1989 Kupina defended her Candidate’s Dissertation titled Sculpture of the Evenks. Issues of origin and development. In 2003 she was graduated from the Getty Foundation's Museum Management Institute (USA). In 1987‑1998 she was a junior researcher, then senior researcher at the Institute of Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR; since 1998 she was a Head of the exposition and exhibition Department at MAE RAS; in 2002‑2018 she was Deputy Director of the MAE; since 2015 she works as an advisor to the St. Petersburg State University Administration on the development of museum activities.
Areas of expertise: Ethnic museology; History and ethnography of the peoples of Siberia, the Extreme North, and the Far East; development of museums in the CIS countries
