Biography, education, career:

In 1923‑1927 Mikhail Voevodsky worked as an anatomist at the Museum of Anthropology, Moscow State University; in 1931‑1948 he was a senior researcher at the Research Institute of Anthropology, Moscow State University. In 1933‑1948 he was a researcher and Head of the Laboratory for Office Treatment of Materials, Moscow Branch of the State Academy for the History of Material Culture (which was later renamed – Institute for the History of Material Culture). In 1935 he was conferred the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences (without defense).

Areas of expertise: Archaeology; History and ethnography of primitive peoples; pre-historic ceramics; culture of the Paleolithic period
