Biography, education, career:

In 2013, at the Institute for the History of Material Culture, RAS, Stanislav Belsky defended his Candidate Dissertation, titled Sepulchral Monuments of the Karelian Isthmus and the Northern Part of Lake Ladoga Basin (The Chronology of Material Culture Complexes). Presently, he is a Senior Fellow of MAE RAS (Kunstkammer). Since 2015 – postdoctoral student at the Faculty of Humanities, Turku University, Finland.

Areas of expertise: Archaeology; archaeology of the Eastern Baltics and the North-West of Russia from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages; chronology of archaeological monuments, written sources and archaeology
