Biography, education, career:
In 1924—1926 he was a member of the volunteer detachment for the elimination of basmachism in Tajikistan. In 1931 — 1933 he was a researcher at the Institute for the Study of the Peoples of the USSR; in 1933—1938, 1941—1942 he was a researcher at the Institute of Ethnography, USSR Academy of Sciences. In September 16, 1941 at the Leningrad State University he defended his Сandidate's dissertation titled The Patriarchal community and community houses of Yaghnobi people.
