Kazharov Valery Khashirovich

Biography, education, career:
On 15 June 1982 Valery Kazharov defended his Candidate’s Dissertation at the Institute of Ethnography; it was titled The Rural Community of the Adyghe People in the 1st Half of the 19th Century. On 20 October 1994 he defended his Doctoral Dissertation, titled Traditional Social Institutions of Kabardinians and Their Crisis in Late 18th – 1st Half of the 19th Century. In 1980 1993 he successively occupied the positions of senior assistant (1980 1983), researcher (1983 1988), senior researcher (1991 1993) at the Department of Ethnography, and since 1993 – Head of the Department of History of Kabardino-Balkarian Institute for Humanities Research.
