Biography, education, career:
In 1947‑1950 Natalia Grevens took a postgraduate course (specializing in the Mordovians) at the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR AS. In 1951‑1967 she worked as a junior researcher at the Museum of the History of Religion and was the conservator of the collections of the Departments of the Origin of Religion and of the East.
