Biography, education, career:
In 2012 Dmitry Gerasimov defended his Candidate Dissertation, titled The Evolution Dynamics of Lithic Industry in the Mesolithic and Neolithic Periods of the Karelian Isthmus. From 1994 he works at the Department of Archaeology, MAE RAS (senior assistant, junior researcher, researcher).
Areas of expertise: Archaeology; Holocene Stone Age of the forest belt of Eastern Europe; geoarchaeology; development of culture in the context of environmental changes; paleolandscape modeling
