Biography, education, career:
On 29 December 1953 Vera Vologdina defended her Candidate Dissertation, titled The Ewe People (A Historical and Ethnographic Sketch). In 1960‑1984 she was a junior researcher at the Department of Africa of the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
