Biography, education, career:
On 26 January 1989, at the Leningrad Branch of the Institute of Ethnography, Nikolay Bondar defended his Candidate Dissertation, titled The Formation and Development of Kuban Cossacks Traditional Culture. Calendar Feasts and Rituals. Late 18th – early 20th Centuries. Since 1981 – Professor at the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, Ancient and Medieval History of Kuban State University. He is also Head of Scientific Research Centre for Traditional Culture at State Scientific-Creative Institution ‘Kuban Cossack Choir’.
