Biography, education, career:
In 1951 Boris Andrianov defended his candidate dissertation titled Ethnic Territory of the Karakalpaks in North Khwaresm (18th–19th centuries); in 1971 he defended his doctoral dissertation based on the monograph Ancient Irrigation Systems of the Aral Sea Region (In Connection with the History of the Beginning and Development of Irrigation Farming).
