Biography, education, career:
On February 2, 1999 Kozhev defended his Candidate’s Dissertation, titled Kabarda in the system of ethno-social relations in the North Caucasus (the 18th century). In 1999‑2015 he successfully occupied the positions of researcher and senior researcher at the Ethnology Sector of the Institute for Humanitarian Studies of the Government of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. From May 1, 2005 he has headed the Department of Medieval and New History at the Kabardino-Balkarian Institute for Humanitarian Studies.
