Since 1971 he has successfully occupied the positions of bibliographer at the Institute of Scientific Information and the Fundamental Library of Social Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1971‑1973) and junior researcher, senior Researcher at the Department of Europe of the Institute of Ethnography, USSR Academy of Sciences (the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences) (from 1977 to the present).
