Biography, education, career:

In 2002 Marina Zhigunova defende her Candidate’s Dissertation in Omsk; it was titled Modern Ethnocultural Processes Among Russians in the Middle Irtysh Land. She successively occupied the positions of junior researcher of the Department of History of Russian Culture (1997‑1998), researcher (1998‑2002) and, since 2002, senior researcher of the Department of Ethnography of the Omsk Branch of the United Institute of History Philology and Philosophy, SB RAS. Besides, he was a junior researcher (from 1994) and is now a senior researcher at the Siberian Branch of the Russian Institute of Cultural Studies. Since 2002 he occupies the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Museology, Omsk State University.
