Kosareva Irina Alekseevna

Biography, education, career:

In 1997 Kosareva defended her Candidate’s Dissertation, titled Traditional women's clothing of peripheral groups of Udmurts (kosinsky, slobodsky, kukmorsky, shoshminsky, zakamsky) in the late 19th - early 20th centuries at the Moscow State University. Since 1982 she has successfully occupied the positions of curator of collections of folk art at the Udmurt Republican Museum of Fine Arts (1982-1988), assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor (1988-2009) at the Interdepartmental Department of Cultural History of the Udmurt State University. Since 2009 she is an Associate Professor at the Department of History of Culture and Arts of the Institute of Arts and Design (the Udmurt State University).

Areas of expertise: History and ethnography of the peoples of the Urals-Volga region; History and ethnography of Udmurts, folk art, traditional clothing and ethnographic groups of Udmurts
