Biography, education, career:

On October 29, 2004 Kesheva defended her Candidate’s Dissertation, titled Dance and song-musical culture of Kabardians in the second half of the 20th century. Since she has successfully occupied the position of laboratory assistant (1996‑1999), junior researcher (1999‑2002), researcher (2002‑2005), and senior researcher at the Institute for Humanitarian Studies of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Currently she acts as the Head of the Sector of Modern history.

Areas of expertise: Ethnic musicology; Transformation of the spiritual culture of the Circassians in the second half of the 20th ‑ early 21st centuries; problems of ethnic culture preservation in the context of modernization and globalization
