Golubeva Leonilla Anatolyevna

Biography, education, career:

In 1946 Leonilla Golubeva defended her Candidate Dissertation, titled The Topography of Pre-Mongolian Kiev. In 1973 she defended her Doctoral Dissertation, titled Ves’ and Slavs on Beloye Lake in the 10th – 13th Centuries. In 1936‑1956 she worked as a senior researcher at the State Museum of History. In 1949‑1956 she occupied the position of managing editor of the archaeological, anthropological, and ethnographical section of the Great Soviet Encyclopedia. In 1956‑1996 L. Golubeva worked as a senior researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
