Biography, education, career:

In 2006 Irina Denisova defended her Candidate’s Dissertation, titled The Semantic Context of Phyto-Anthropomorphic Images of Russian Folk Embroidery. In 1981‑1989 she was a researcher at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art. From 1989 she works as a researcher at the Department of Russian Ethnology of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of RAS.
