Biography, education, career:

In 2001, in Novosibirsk, Farida Bureeva defended her Candidate Dissertation, titled The Ornament of Tarsk Tatars in late 19th – 20th Centuries (On the Issue of Ethnocultural History). In 2002‑2005 – Scientific Secretary, and since 2005 – Deputy Director for Research at Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after Mikhail Vrubel. Bureeva is a staff member of the Department of Museology at Omsk State University.

Areas of expertise: History and ethnography of the peoples of Siberia, the Extreme North, and the Far East; Folk art; Ethnic museology; History and ethnography of Turkic peoples
